Description
Producers at TigerSpike are multi-disciplinary team members performing the dual roles of;-
- Producer and
- Project Manager
As a Producer your role is to oversee the full lifecycle of projects across TigerSpike’s client list. A TigerSpike Producer needs to demonstrate good communication skills, be able to problem solve, be self-motivated, have good attention to detail, be adaptable and be highly organised. You will be expected to be able to lead client thinking, provide project leadership and be able to mentor more junior members of the team
The following document describes key responsibilities, expected outputs, contacts and personal behavioural traits expected to fulfil the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Steering a project to ensure successful outcome by providing the appropriate leadership and focus for both team members and client alike.
- Mentoring: Helping more junior members of the team develop professionally.
- Requirements Analysis: Liaising with the application or feature stakeholders to understand and document the requirements. Determining requirement priority.
- Maintaining Relationships: Building and maintaining working relationships with all team members, stakeholders and partners
- Product Comparison: Reviewing competitor or similar products in order to identify improvements or feature gaps that the new application or feature can address.
- Usability: Understanding how users of the application will interact and so producing the most intuitive and efficient application. This may include talking to users or demographic analysis.
- Wireframes: Producing the wireframes for the application which are a visual representation of how the application should look without introducing design aspects. Wireframes should demonstrate navigational flow.
- Storyboarding (site map): For larger applications a storyboard or site map may be required to understand the user journey.
- Functional Design: Producing the functional specification for the application that details exactly how the application is going to work.
- Design Briefs: Capturing the information required to brief designers including procuring brand guidelines, high resolution assets and other material to support the brief.
- Functional Testing: Ensuring that features and applications are implemented to specification.
- Project Planning: Along with other team members identifying all tasks required to deliver the project, determining effort, dependencies and owners and documenting them in a plan. Ensuring that the plan is communicated to all stakeholders and team members through Work in Progress (WiP) documentation.
- Task Tracking: Ensuring that tasks are started and completed and monitoring the burn down of tasks. Adding new tasks to the plan as they are identified and projecting new completion date.
- Milestone Identification: Identifying project milestones and adding them to the plan, e.g. Requirements sign off, Joint Integration Testing (JIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) etc.
- Client Liaison: Communicating progress, issues and risks to the primary stakeholders or project sponsor.
- Project Reporting: Reviewing progress and providing reports to team members and stakeholders in WiP documentation.
- Prioritisation: Prioritising tasks e.g. most difficult ones first or most important for the client with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resourcing: Ensuring that the appropriate resources are booked to work on the project.
