This seminar will examine the legal implications including defamation and employment law issues, the use of user generated content in advertising and promotional campaigns and the risk of entering into social media conversations.
Using examples from some current work, Paul Cross will talk through some of the challenges in managing promotions that request user generated content as part of the campaign. Peter Kent will discuss the risk of entering into social media conversations with examples of recent work Porter Novelli have undertaken. Charles Power will discuss the employment law issues in relation to employees’ use of social media platforms at work. Renee Enbom will discuss the defamation law issues in relation to user generated content and social media platforms.
